Q: Do you rent motorcycles?

A: No. Our events require that you have a personal, blue plated motorcycle, fully licensed and insured. There are companies in Ontario that rent off road vehicles. Should you require any assistance, we may be able to help you.

 

Q: Can I rent a GPS and mounting hardware from Rally Connex?

A: Yes. The charge for renting a GPS and the required mounting hardware is $30/day with a $100 cash refundable deposit if unit is returned in the same condition as it was when first rented. Please ensure that your bike can accommodate hard wiring.

 

Q: Does my bike need to be road legal?

A: Yes. Our events require that you have a personal, blue plated motorcycle, fully licensed and insured. Except for the Chris Birch Off Road Training Classes, Steve Mumford Trials Training & Private Classes. You will need to have at the least off road bike insurance and a green off road plate.

 

Q: I have a Green plate and my bike is insured. Can I go on one of your rides?

A: Yes & No. Our events out side of the Chris Birch Off Road Training Classes, Steve Mumford Trials Training & Private Classes require that you have a personal, blue plated motorcycle, fully licensed and insured.

 

Q: What size bike should I use for one of your events?

A: We accommodate all sizes of dual sport motorcycles, but strongly recommend that engine size be 200cc to 1200cc. Please refer to our event page for specific details.

 

Q: What happens if my bike breaks down on your ride?

A: Every event has a support crew consisting of sweep riders and a support truck.

A: Yes. Every event has a support crew consisting of sweep riders and a support truck.

 

Q: My bike can only go 100km on a tank of gas. Will you supply emergency fuel?

A: Yes, the support truck can carry your emergency fuel, but our routes will have sufficient gas stops at mileages less than 100km.

 

Q: Will you teach me how to use a GPS?

A: Yes, we teach a gps session at the Spring Training day, plus we can show you how to access and navigate routes on your gps before each event.

 

Q: Does Rally Connex have personal training services?

A: Yes. This service is provided by appointment only.

 

Q: Can I download your routes before the event?

A: No. Frequently route changes are necessary due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

 

Q: Does my bike need to be under 94db for your events?

A: Yes. We conform to the Ontario Federation of Trail Riders (OFTR) mandate of 94db or less..

 

Q: My bike needs better lighting for night riding. Can you help me with that?

A: Yes. We have access to many types of aftermarket accessories for purchase.

 

Q: I'm a total beginner rider. Are your events suitable for me?

A: Yes. Our events have a stock tire and aggressive tire route to accommodate all levels of riders in most cases. Refer to specific details for each ride.

 

Q: Do you have courses that will get me my motorcycle licence?

A: No, we do not perform the ministry of transport testing. We can, however, teach you how to ride your motorcycle in an off- road environment. This will greatly improve your on-road proficiency and confidence which will help when you perform the ministry testing. The Spring Training course is good for this, or private training sessions can be arranged by emailing us.

Q: I need to improve my riding skills, how can Rallyconnex help with that

A: Rally Connex has friendly knowledgeable trainers that can help you with your weaknesses, and will customize the session to suit you needs. If training in a group environment is not in your comfort zone, we also do one on one training sessions to help you get ready for anything. We have a wide range of training areas at our disposal, ranging from road riding, gravel, single track, jumps, logs, rocks, deep sand, to motocross. Drop us an email with details and we will arrange as many sessions as it takes.

 

Q: Do you supply accommodations for rides over 2 days long?

A: The accommodations for our rides vary for each event. Please refer to the specific details for each ride.
