Mike Sanginesi
Mike first threw his leg over a friends Honda CR80 at age 13, this experience ignited a fire that still rages on 35 years later. Growing up in suburbia it took Mike 5 years to buy his first bike at age 18, behind his parents back, a Honda XL600.
In his 20's, Mike spent most of his time riding street bikes and racing mountain bikes making dirt bike noises while passing his competitors. Starting a family in his 30's, Mike took a break from motor bikes for nearly 10 years. Finding his midlife crisis stride in his early 40's, Mike jumped on board of the ADV movement and bought a Gen 1 KLR650 along with a few of his friends. Once Mike got a taste of dirt again he became a dirt rider from that day until his last day.
Being a huge rally raid (Dakar Rally) fan Mike designed and built a rally inspired fairing for the KLR and Waypoint Adventure Products was born. Shortly there after he started to get more involved with the off road riding community becoming a member of SCORRA and started attending several Rally Connex events from Spring Training to the Rock Hound Rally on the back of his trusty KLR650. This lead to volunteering at the 23' Dacre,The Longest Day. "The team at Rally Connex totally rad, I want in!" Mike is now proud member of Team Rally Connex.
